This Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby red with an opaque center. A sweet entry of milk chocolate and fresh caramel greets the nose. The palate is lush and rich with black cherry, plum, and blueberry. 2021 Keenan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is composed primarily of grapes grown on Keenan’s Spring Mountain District Estate; the remainder of the fruit was harvested from Pope Valley, a grape growing region located in the eastern portion of Napa. Keenan’s Estate Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were harvested beginning on September 7th with the final lot being picked on September 15th. After harvest, the fruit clusters were de-stemmed, then fermented for ten to fourteen days. The wine was barrel aged in thirty-three percent new French and American oak for twenty months. The blend was assembled just before bottling. The Estate grown Cabernet imparts amazing concentration and remarkable structure, while the portion of Cabernet harvested from Pope Valley adds complex aromas and a balanced mid-palate. -
2021 Meyer Family Fluffy Billows Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- As in past vintages, we aged the 2021 Fluffy Billows in French oak barrels for just under two years, an approach that always complements the firm, cellar-friendly structure of our Oakville Cabernets. Two drought years led to a small, intense crop, deep in color. It boasts a combination of spicy cherry and cassis notes on the nose with blackberry and plum on the palate. Complex notes of cedar and cooking spice mingle elegantly with the abundant fruit. Right through its long finish, bright acidity balances the whole framework of fruit and tannin. Our ‘21 Fluffy Billows is a wine that will certainly continue to evolve in the cellar for a decade or more, but it also produced with immediate enjoyment in mind.$59.901 -
2022 Orin Swift Papillon Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Winery Notes- Pouring an opaque crimson core with a brooding cardinal rim, the 2022 Papillon opens with aromatic notes of ripe cassis, blackberry, coastal chapparal, cedar box and allspice. On entry, the palate continues many of the same notes from the nose — cassis, pluot, blueberry, boysenberry, shaved fennel bulb and a touch of earth. A round, weighty mid-palate effortlessly gives way to dusty, coating tannins — a pleasing texture — and finishing hints of barbeque tri-tip, Madagascar vanilla and toffee.$59.906 -
2022 Sojourn Wohler Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- A warm 2022 summer brought one of the earliest harvests on record in the Sonoma Coast, with a September heat wave influencing some picking decisions. Cooler pockets of the Sonoma Coast fared well through the heat and the resulting wines offer depth and finesse. Yields were miniscule, with many vineyards breaking records on the low side for cluster weights. The resulting wines have concentrated flavors with tension and length. In 2022 we harvested Wohler Vineyard in multiple passes, fermenting each block separately. We also co-fermented small portions of the steepest ends of the clone 828 and 667 blocks. This lot formed the foundation of the 2022 blend. Clones 667 and 828 provided rich fruit and density while the Wädenswil 2A component added earthy notes and structure.$54.905 -
2021 Pahlmeyer Jayson Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- Classic Napa Valley Cabernet aromas of ripe blackberry and red currant are underpinned by an alluring dark forest floor earthiness and a high note of red licorice/candy shop. Valley floor fruit brings mouth-filling plushness to the palate, while concentrated mountain fruit drives through the core. Focused black fruit –cherry, plum, and raspberry –surge long and deep with hints of black olive and freshly cracked pepper. Polished tannins frame and lengthen the palate as a balancing acidity provides a magnifying lift. The finish is long, juicy, and plush with a thrust of grippy tannin, persisting with notes of vanilla bean, warm spice, and toasted hazelnut.$87.901
