Winery Notes- This Chardonnay is from blocks planted for Patz & Hall in 1997 and 1999 using the famous “Hyde Wente” selection of Chardonnay. The 2022 Hyde Chardonnay demonstrates why this vineyard has been a three-star, acclaimed Patz & Hall offering for over 30 years. The just ripe pomaceous fruit mingles seamlessly with the vanilla spice from careful new French oak ageing. Evidence of lees contact show by richness of palate and a nuance of toast and flint. This wine has wonderfully fresh acidity that is contrasted by startling deep, rich textures, a seeming contradiction, found in only the greatest Chardonnays.$39.905 -

Winery Notes- From six special acres in the heart of the Grace Benoist Ranch, our estate Chardonnay is a beautiful example of everything Carneros has to offer. Lively, fresh, and vibrant, this Chardonnay is truly exemplary of elegance and grace, crafted intentionally to showcase the expressive fruit and terroir, so there is no malolactic fermentation, and a delicate touch of oak. Lifted floral notes of honeysuckle, Meyer lemon, and vanilla, waft from the fragrant bouquet, while flavors of zesty, fresh-cut apple, honeydew melon, Bartlett pair, and graham cracker pie crust, intermingle on the palate. Luscious and creamy in texture, with a stony minerality, and pleasing freshness, a signature from Grace Benoist Ranch, demonstrates a lovely, mouth-watering backbone of crisp acidity. 2023 Hyde de Villaine (HDV) Hyde Vineyard Napa Valley Chardonnay
Winery Notes- After three of the most challenging seasons in recent years, with consecutive extreme drought conditions and heat events, 2023 came as a redemption year. The year started with a wet and cold Winter. Spring and early Summer remained cool and overcast, with only a handful of warmer days. Consequently, Harvest was delayed by almost 6 weeks compared to a 10-year average. The waiting was nerve-racking, as early rains and cool Falls are not uncommon in Napa. Moderate weather continued through September and early October, allowing for extended hang time. The crop was balanced and generous, resulting in wines of refined purity and detailed precision.$84.9013 -
2022 Ink Grade Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc (Was $75)
Winery Notes- Working with concrete, stainless steel and large oak vessels to marry textures and weights; working with lees to enhance the saline quality; and pressing longer to build structure and expose a minor note of bitterness on the finish. A refreshing and vibrant wine with excellent acidity, our 2022 Sauvignon Blanc is the most exceptional vintage to date. Produced from older vines, this wine expresses notes of star fruit, lemongrass, nectarine, lemon zest, and a natural salinity reminiscent of an ocean mist. The weight and texture of the palate are held together by the bright acidity, leading to a lengthy finish. A double or triple decant elevates all elements of this wine now, or it will open on its own in 2026. 2022 Locanda Beckstoffer Carneros Lake Vineyard Carneros Chardonnay

2023 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Chardonnay

Pale straw with green glints, the 2023 Stony Hill Napa Valley Chardonnay is classic, mountain-grown restraint: brisk aromas of lemon oil, green apple, and Williams pear over white flowers, crushed rock, and a cool fennel snap. The palate is taut and precise rather than opulent—citrus and orchard fruit ride a lively acid spine, with subtle almond skin, chamomile, and a light chiffon of lees giving texture without weight. Oak stays in the background (largely neutral in the house style), letting the Spring Mountain minerality lead; malolactic influence is minimal, so the finish is long, saline, and mouthwatering. 2022 Chateau Montelena Napa Valley Chardonnay
Winery Notes- There’s tremendous purity on the nose of this wine. At the same time, it’s also quite intense. Peach, apricot and kiwi drive an abundance of ripeness, which cascades into fresh cut flowers, orange blossom and cantaloupe. The citrus really comes to life here as mandarin, Meyer lemon and finally lemon verbena. While green apple, which is typically quite pronounced in Montelena wines, is somewhat overshadowed by the opulence of other flavors, I would expect it to become more prominent over time. Moreover, the texture is still angular and somewhat tight, which isn’t surprising given the wine’s youth. However, there’s certainly plenty to look forward to with notes of graham cracker, cinnamon and toast lingering beneath the surface. The finish initially leans into d’Anjou pear with some additional baking spice. It slowly transitions back to apple but more as cider than fresh cut. The citrus also persists as lemon zest and there’s a touch of peppery ginger as punctuation. While still predominantly linear, the finish should develop in breadth and gravity in coming years.$64.905 -
