2023 Antinori Tignanello Toscana
Winery Notes- Intense ruby red in color, Tignanello 2023 strikes the nose with notes of ripe cherry, pomegranate and orange alternating with delicate hints of carcadé and violet. The ample bouquet continues on sweet spicy tones of cocoa and graphite, closing with delicate hints of white pepper and cranberries. On the palate, the vertical entrance develops into a juicy, enveloping center of the mouth characterized by sweet and silky tannins. Savory and long finish, characterized by notes of blood orange and toasted hazelnut.$159.904 -
2023 Domaine Génot-Boulanger Meursault Clos Du Cromin
Winery Notes- The aromas are still centered on white fruits, but they come from the south: vineyard peaches and white peaches, with the orchard fruit supported by a skillful touch of oak that enhances it beautifully. The nose promises real generosity and delicious appeal. The palate follows through: sensual, both concentrated and relaxed. The wine is round—but not too much so. Its fruit fills the cheeks before gently stretching out on the finish. A Meursault with no hardness at all, all charm.Rating(s)$129.906 -
2023 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Meursault 1er Cru Santenots
Winery Notes- It is the most Volnay of the Meursault climats, which has the privilege of bearing the name of Volnay when it is planted with Pinot Noir and that of Meursault if Chardonnay is planted, depending on the grape variety. Indeed, the plot is located north of the village of Meursault, between Meursault and Volnay, and the soil, very marly, lends itself to both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Domaine Marquis d'Angerville owns a beautiful plot of 1.05 hectares planted with Chardonnay since 1905, originally by Sem d'Angerville, who wanted to vinify a white Premier Cru. We don't blame him, on the contrary. Our Meursault Santenots expresses above all the minerality of this exceptional terroir. Our breeding method, without excessive stirring, gives it extra energy and tension. This white wine is dry, very fruity, with a persistent bouquet reminiscent of hazelnut. Its fat is not expressed in attack, but over the length. It can be enjoyed young or kept for several years.$199.903 -
2023 Domaine Génot-Boulanger 1er cru Mercurey-Sazenay
Winery Notes- Mercurey is one of the most important wine appellations in Burgundy and also the most renowned in the Côte Chalonnaise. Our plot was planted in part in the 2000s and partly in 2015. It covers 1.81 hectares and is located on the top of the hillside with a south-facing exposure. The vine rests on a beautiful slope and thus receives the right amount of water necessary for its growth. In addition, it draws its resources from a soil that is predominantly clay-limestone.Rating(s)$79.906 -
2023 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru Champans
Winery Notes- Domaine Marquis d'Angerville owns 3.98 hectares in the Champans appellation, located just north of the Caillerets appellation. Two parallel plots make up our part of the appellation (11 hectares in total). They extend from the top to the bottom of the Champans climate and the hillside, thus taking advantage of all the characteristics of this remarkable terroir facing south-east, located in the centre of the Premiers Crus de Volnay. The soil is poorer and rests on a rocky limestone bank at the top of the hillside while the slope decreases towards the bottom and it becomes more clayey, stony and deeper. Historically classified as a Têtes de Cuvée de Volnay, Champans is the archetype of the great Volnay 1 er cru: finesse, fullness and length in the mouth with an extra generosity and power of its own. Depending on the vintage, it deserves 5 to 10 years of ageing to fully reveal itself, but it is generally more easily approached young than Taillepieds or Clos des Ducs.$229.903 -
2023 Domaine Philippe Colin Santenay Clos Saint Jean
Winery Notes- Textbook, rather earthy & mulch-scented nose. The palate is slightly peppery and has plenty of fruit with a sappy, black plum and long raspberry-tinged finish, over the smooth tannins.$59.906 -
2023 Domaine Philippe Colin Chassagne-Montrachet
Winery Notes- Pronounced minerality and appealing citrus, raw almond and green apple notes. Well-balanced with a bright acidity, there is an underlying essence of butter on the fine, mineral cut finish.$114.906 -
2020 Domaine Henri Rebourseau Fonteny 1er Cru
Winery Notes- Cherry red colour, nose with notes of raspberries and spices, a rich but elegant tannin structure. A persistence of great intensity.$249.901 -
2024 Occidental Freestone-Occidental Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- The 2024 Freestone-Occidental wine shares the same winemaking techniques as our vineyard designated pinot noirs. Crystalline, bright, mouthwatering, and a bit salty with a saline mineral finish, the 2024 Freestone-Occidental evokes juicy red berries and a near perfect balance of finesse and energy – of bright, primary red fruits and saline elements. It conveys outstanding precision and lift in the mouth and finishes vibrant and long with beautifully sculpted tannins. Its modest alcohol (13%) makes this wine a perfect complement to any meal. It is delicious now and will develop nicely in bottle.Rating(s)$74.9020 -
2023 Domaine Vincent & Sophie Morey Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Truffière
More restrained on the nose than the Chassagne before it, but in no way a lighter wine. grilled almond fruit, very type Puligny – brioche bread coated with sugar. Very pungent and long-lasting on the palate, with butterscotch, caramel and some white pepper on the finish, along with some peaches. High toned acids throughout, with some rose water and menthol. Complex. Wow!Rating(s)$139.901 -
2023 Domaine Francois Carillon Puligny-Montrachet
Winery Notes- The Puligny-Montrachet comes from four hectares of vines, spread over 8 different localities: Derrière la Velle, Reuchaux, Corvée, Levrons, Aubues, Tremblots, Noyer Bret and Rousselles. The vinification is done in the traditional Burgundian style, with fermentation taking place in small oak casks. The wine is then aged in Allier oak. This linear wine is composed of a beautiful acidity which underlines and prolongs aromas of white peach and the long citrus finish.Rating(s)$139.906 -
2024 Failla Estate Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- The Fort Ross-Seaview AVA is characterized by minimum elevations of 920 feet, (keeping us just above the fog line), and distances near to the ocean, keeping temperatures lower than average. Planted in 1997, our Estate Vineyard is organically dry-farmed and sits at 1000-1400 ft. Just 2.5 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, our 92-acre ranch has 11 acres under vine. 2023 Pulido-Walker Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- A plentiful yield and larger berries can require extra e ort in the cellar to achieve optimal extraction, but that was not the case in 2023. e fruit was so fully developed, extraction was e ortless. From the very rst taste, it was clear: this vintage is something special. e wine opens with oral and tobacco nuances accented by savory notes of bay leaf and a pleasing smokiness. Blue-fruited and juicy, it showcases all the signature elements we love about Mt. Veeder yet free from the angular tannins sometimes associated with this rugged AVA. e result is a wine of exceptional balance, where vibrant acidity, layered concentration, and mountain-grown elegance come together seamlessly. The primary aromas of this white Burgundy are ample, with notes of white stone fruit highlighted by a summery minerality. 2023 Castiel Estate Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- The 2023 Castiel Estate Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant powerhouse that perfectly showcases the sophistication and complexity of these two high-elevation vineyards. Upon approach, it opens with expressive dark aromatics of graphite, dark chocolate, crushed rocks, and black fruits that are seamlessly blended with pronounced classic mountain freshness, wild herb and savory complexities. On the palate, the mountain tannins are pronounced, yet they feel completely dissolved and polished giving the wine a deep, textural and incredibly concentrated mouthfeel without any hard edges or heaviness.
