2023 Caterwaul Regusci Vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- Dark red rim with a hint of violet color that translates to crushed violets on the nose, the 2023 edition of Caterwaul’s Regusci vineyard shows the power and depth of a legendary vintage and classic valley floor site. A strong perfume of licorice and sanguine meat highlight balanced aromas of high and low- tone. The initial weight on the pallet evokes chocolate fondue: dark, dense, and mouth-coating. As the varnish melts away, the backbone of tension from redcurrant fruit binds seamlessly with a clove and graphite finish that gives pause, but only until the next sip.$129.902 -

2023 Othello by Dominus Estate Napa Red Wine
Winery Notes- Produced from the historic Napanook vineyard in Yountville, California, Othello is a wine that expresses the singularity of its exceptional terroir and is accessible and enjoyable in its youth. A Bordeaux blend, the wine is forthcoming with lovely aromas of red fruit, round, silky tannins and an abounding brightness. It was at the famed Napanook vineyard that Christian Moueix established Dominus Estate in 1983. An historical site, it was the source of fruit for some of the finest Napa Valley wines in the 1940’s and 1950’s. Notably, the vineyard’s history can be traced back to Napa Valley’s beginnings, when in 1838 George Yount, for whom the town of Yountville was named, first planted grapevines there. Today, the vineyard produces three wines: Dominus, its flagship, Napanook, and Othello. A model for its sustainable farming practices, the Napanook vineyard has been hailed for its dry-farming, which shuns watering the vines, thus spurring them to draw deeply on the land’s unique geology. Meticulous viticultural and winemaking practices are undertaken with the objective of producing wines that are pure, balanced and complex. Minimal intervention and restraint throughout the process of grape berry selection, fermentation and aging preserve the character of the fruit. The resulting wines are an expression of this unique vineyard.$54.9012 -

2023 Caterwaul Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
#51 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2025 Winery Notes- Great vintages are often signaled early in a wine’s life. Mere weeks into existence, the richness, balance and power of 2023 was clear. Carefully sourced Napa Valley vineyards produced great dividends with a perfect marriage of round tannin and supple fruit. Brilliant scarlet red on the rim, denoting a pronounced natural acidity, the wine quickly finds depth in an opaque, violet hue. A rich nose of crushed minerals and red/black berry fruit fills the glass, framed by dusky, dark violets. Complexity on the initial palate girds the expectation of an unbridled wine. Like gentle giant, this wine clearly has a powerful build but conveys a restrained intensity. Soft tannins marked by toasty oak and a wide frame of confit red and purple fruits mark the midpalate. Freshness extends the long finish. There is something here for everyone, and in abundance.$47.9012 -

2023 Napa Cellars Napa Valley Chardonnay
Winery Notes- A balanced and memorable Chardonnay that starts with aromas of orange blossom, Asian pear, crème fraiche, peaches and chamomile, complemented by notes of toffee, honeysuckle, and graham cracker. On the palate, flavors of green apple, Meyer lemon and stonefruit are finished with notes of tangerine and vanilla. This Chardonnay is smooth, creamy and balanced with a lingering acidity and a long finish. This is the perfect wine to pair with a brie or gouda cheese plate drizzled with local honey and hazelnut.$15.909 -
2023 Stony Hill Napa Valley Chardonnay
Pale straw with green glints, the 2023 Stony Hill Napa Valley Chardonnay is classic, mountain-grown restraint: brisk aromas of lemon oil, green apple, and Williams pear over white flowers, crushed rock, and a cool fennel snap. The palate is taut and precise rather than opulent—citrus and orchard fruit ride a lively acid spine, with subtle almond skin, chamomile, and a light chiffon of lees giving texture without weight. Oak stays in the background (largely neutral in the house style), letting the Spring Mountain minerality lead; malolactic influence is minimal, so the finish is long, saline, and mouthwatering. Serve at 50–54°F with halibut, roast chicken, or a goat cheese and herb tart; delicious now for its verve, with 5–7 years of graceful development ahead.$44.907 -
2020 Niner Estates Bootjack Paso Robles Red Blend (Was $30)
Winery Notes- We hand-sorted, destemmed and grav ity fed the grapes into a combination of stainless steel tanks and one French oak tank. We fermented each varietal separately to preserve their unique characteristics and after 19 months, composed the final blend. The blend aged an additional month in barrels before it was bottled. A total of 20 months of aging with a lighter oak impact (36% new French oak) helped us retain balance and pure fruit expression. The base of this blend is made of three different varietals each of which contributes unique elements to the finished wine. Cabernet Franc adds herbal notes and tannin structure, Cabernet Sauvignon adds red fruit qualities and garnet color, and Malbec adds dark fruit characteristics and a plush, juicy mouthfeel. With notes of dried cherry, rhubarb and brushy herbs, this wine is ready to drink now.$19.9024 -
2023 Quilt Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Was $40)
Winery Notes- For Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon, the winemaking process started by picking fruit at precisely the right moment. Often this meant waiting until ripeness--determined both by testing sugar levels as well as by assessing other aspects of phenological readiness--had reached an ideal point. Once in the cellar, we kept lots separated by vineyard. While the wine underwent extended maceration, we re-evaluated the progress of each lot before moving the wine to small French oak barrels (70% new oak, 30% seasoned) where it underwent a secondary fermentation. Our final blend came about after numerous blind tastings.$29.9024 -
2023 Hourglass HG III Napa Valley Red Blend
Winery Notes- HGIII is composed around a core of Merlot, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot commanding attention and delivering unmatched expressiveness. Aromas of red and black currants intertwine seamlessly with lavender and herbes de Provence, creating a floral interplay. On the palate, dark sour cherry and inky black cassis take the spotlight, supported by supple tannins and vibrant acidity. Subtle notes of light roasted coffee, plum, wild strawberry, and fennel add layers of complexity. The careful blend of 50% new and seasoned barrels ensures freshness while imparting barrel spice and structure, resulting in a wine of power, elegance and lasting impression.Rating(s)$44.9024+ -

2023 Flora Springs Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- This Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with expressive notes of blackcurrant, wild berries, and a hint of licorice, unfolding into layers of dark fruit that dominate the palate. A subtle lift of white pepper leads into savory herbs—fennel, sage, and a whisper of dried earth; adding nuance and intrigue. The tannins are firm yet finely textured, with a crushed-stone quality that provides structure and elegance. As the wine evolves, flavors of bitter cooking chocolate and chocolate-covered dark cherries emerge, offering depth and richness. The finish is long and mouthwatering, driven by a balance of juiciness and mineral tension that invites another sip.$49.9011 -
2023 Beringer Private Reserve Napa Valley Chardonnay
Winery Notes- This Chardonnay opens with lovely, perfumed aromas of bright citrus, including lemon zest and a touch of orange and tangerine marmalade — enlivened by a delicate white flower musk. Subtle hints of white tea, white chocolate and honeycomb add warmth and complexity. The palate is mouthwatering and fresh, showing vibrant acidity balanced by a full-bodied weight and a round, rich character. The flavor evolves beautifully, showcasing layers of Asian pear, lemon meringue and sweet pineapple. Spiced undertones interlace with the fruit, adding notes of jasmine, hazelnut and vanilla, all creating a nuanced depth. The finish is unctuous, highlighting beeswax, fresh hay, and lanolin, with a pleasing viscosity that coats the mouth rounding out this expressive and elegant Chardonnay.$34.905
