2023 Domaine Génot-Boulanger 1er cru Mercurey-Sazenay
Winery Notes- Mercurey is one of the most important wine appellations in Burgundy and also the most renowned in the Côte Chalonnaise. Our plot was planted in part in the 2000s and partly in 2015. It covers 1.81 hectares and is located on the top of the hillside with a south-facing exposure. The vine rests on a beautiful slope and thus receives the right amount of water necessary for its growth. In addition, it draws its resources from a soil that is predominantly clay-limestone.Rating(s)$79.906 -

2021 Alter Ego de Palmer, Margaux
Winery Notes- While the summer put the vines on a path to greater growth, a sunny September enabled us to pick grapes bursting with promise. 2021 is a vintage in which the talents of our team made the difference, demonstrating the passion and cohesion of a collective effort. While January heralded a cold winter, February promised kinder temperatures and nourishing rains. The return to dry weather fostered consistent budding across the vines. The spring frosts from April and May slowed growth. Flowering eventually began on May 28, in a warm, dry climate. The fruit set accelerated, and a handful of our most earliest ripening Merlots were affected by coulure. Rainfall was followed by a sharp rise in temperatures in June, leading to explosive vegetative growth. Shortly after a torrential storm on June 19, the arrival of mildew required meticulous monitoring. A half-hearted summer until August 15 exacerbated vine growth, sparking fears of low numbers of grapes. In late August and early September, four weeks of dry weather thankfully dispelled a lot of the water and the ripening process resumed as normal, just in time for the harvest. Threatened by botrytis, the Merlot harvest started on September 24 while the Cabernets finished on October 15. Despite more modest yields than expected, the harvest was healthy with ripe grapes, and the tasting revealed a remarkably fine tannic texture. The assemblages were finalized in early December, reflecting an ever-clearer perspective of the Château Palmer plots. This 2021 batch offers exceptionally fulfilled wines, rooted in moderation and harmony, harking back to the vintages of the previous century.$109.905 -
Laurent-Perrier Héritage Brut Champagne
Winery Notes- Héritage is borne out of the savoir-faire of Grand Siècle: a complex blend of several vintages from the best Crus of Champagne and two grape varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Made exclusively with reserve wines selected for their freshness, elegance and complexity, this wine offers great purity and perfect maturity. A white gold colour with a fine and persistent effervescence. A nose offering notes of lemon, white peach and fruits in syrup followed by aromas of toasted bread and toasted almonds. Fresh at first which gives way to a lively, elegant and complex palate with aromas of white fruits and citrus zest. Héritage offers a perfect balance between freshness, elegance and maturity with notes of floral honey.$99.9012 -

André Clouet Grande Reserve Grand Cru Champagne
Winery Notes- I like to think of the Grande Réserve like a vintage collection of « Greatest Hits » Imagine being transported by the effervescence of Champagne, letting yourself feel the magic of musical masterpieces as they explode on your palate : « Straight No Chaser » from Miles Davis, hits your mouth, starting you off with a powerful groove, then, extending into the melodious swing of « Come Fly With Me » by Frank Sinatra. A bouquet of aromas and flavors come at you like a mash up of « Brown Sugar » by the Rolling Stones and « Desire » from U2, melting into the soulful depth of song with Diana Krall and her « Cry Me A River ». The freshness and tension bounce on your tastebuds with Elvis in « Jailhouse Rock », finishing, in the end, with a bittersweet instrumental finale entitled « True Sorry » by Ibrahim Maalouf.$44.9012 -
2022 Lascombes Margaux
Winery Notes- Depth, complexity and graceful power characterise this wine, which reveals all its qualities after long ageing in the bottle. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, it represents the Médoc’s winemaking tradition and embodies the great classicism of Margaux$79.903 -
2022 Domaine Michel Gros Nuits-St-Georges Les Chaliots
Winery Notes- The style of vintage 2022 once more reveals an aromatic profile of high maturity, comparable to vintage 2019, but with fruit that is even more present. The wines are both ample and rich, with lovely balance of acidity, silky tannins and explosive fruit. The whole range of wines already offers immediate tasting pleasure and the higher appellations will gain from patience over some years in cellar.$84.905
