André Clouet Grande Reserve Grand Cru Champagne
Winery Notes- I like to think of the Grande Réserve like a vintage collection of « Greatest Hits » Imagine being transported by the effervescence of Champagne, letting yourself feel the magic of musical masterpieces as they explode on your palate : « Straight No Chaser » from Miles Davis, hits your mouth, starting you off with a powerful groove, then, extending into the melodious swing of « Come Fly With Me » by Frank Sinatra. A bouquet of aromas and flavors come at you like a mash up of « Brown Sugar » by the Rolling Stones and « Desire » from U2, melting into the soulful depth of song with Diana Krall and her « Cry Me A River ». The freshness and tension bounce on your tastebuds with Elvis in « Jailhouse Rock », finishing, in the end, with a bittersweet instrumental finale entitled « True Sorry » by Ibrahim Maalouf.$44.9012 -

H. Billiot Brut Reserve Champagne
Laetitia Billiot is the fourth generartion to estate bottle Champagnes at this domaine in the Grand Cru Village of Ambonnay. Her Great Grandfather Louis Billiot bottled small amounts of wine, but it was his son and Laetitia’s Grandfather Henri that created estate today. Laetitia’s father Serge took over in 1954 quickly establishing himself as a top producer, producing a range of wines from his Grand Cru holdings in Ambonnay. Today, Laetitia continues the tradition, working 5 hectares in Ambonnay. Of the 18 parcels that Billiot works, all but one of them are mid slope, in the most desirable sections of this famous village. “The wines of Ambonnay are very vinous, with a lot of strength,” says Laetitia Billiot,“but they are also very fine, with delicacy and finesse. They stay fresh for a long time.” The wines are pressed in traditional vertical basket presses and vinified in stainless steel, Apart from one barrel fermented vintage wine, called “Cuvee Julie”. The wines don’t see Mal: “We have 100-percent grand cru vines, which always give a high degree of maturity, so we don’t need the malo.” Says Laetitia. The wines are also never stabilized or filtered prior to bottling.$44.906 -
Gaston Chiquet Cuvée de Réserve Premier Cru Brut Champagne
Nicolas Chiquet farms 23 hectares in the Valle de la Marne in the villages of Ay, Dizy, Hautvillers and Mareuil-sur-Ay. All of the fruit (including that which is used in the non-vintage cuvee) comes from premier and grand cru grapes. Nicolas does not employ any oak aging at Gaston Chiquet; he believes that concentration, fruit maturity and malolactic fermentation impart enough body and texture to make aging in barrel unnecessary. The vineyards are planted to equal (forty percent each) parts chardonnay, pinot meunier and twenty percent are planted to pinot noir. Gaston-Chiquet also produces a vintage dated chardonnay from 5 parcels on the western side of the grand cru village of Ay. Usually recognized as a grand cru village for pinot noir, these vines of chardonnay were planted in Ay in the 1930s.$47.902 -
2022 Patricia Green Estate - Old Vine Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir (Was $45)
Winery Notes- The Estate Vineyard, Old Vine bottling is the flagship wine of Patricia Green Cellars. We felt that it was important to maintain the quality and volume of this bottling in 2022, even at the expense of all the specialized bottlings that have earned incredible praise and accolades over the years. This wine has been the defining wine of this vineyard for two decades. Early in this bottling’s existence we may have made only 300-400 cases of it in any given vintage but as time went on and vines aged into the style that this wine encompasses we climbed to over 1,000 cases annually while still finding plenty of fruit for the Etzel Block, Coury Clone, First Vines, Wadensvil Block and the Bonshaw Block specialty bottlings. To some extent the 2022 vintage is the MOST Estate Old Vine Pinot Noir bottling ever as it literally spans the breadth of the site and includes what would essentially be “declassified” versions of those high-end, block designate bottlings. Expect all the good things this wine usually shows with a little extra gear to it.$32.9022 -
2023 Lucia by Pisoni Estate Cuvée Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- A vintage of patience paid off with this complex blend of entirely estate-farmed vineyards, as well as introducing a new planting. The 2023 Lucia by Pisoni Pinot Noir, Estate Cuvée is a blend of 41% Pisoni Vineyards, 32% Garys’ Vineyard, 15% Soberanes Vineyard and 12% WindRock Vineyard. Our most recent estate vineyard introduces another expression of intense farming and fruit expression, planted to the north of Garys’ Vineyard. The slow and late harvest brought a classic profile to the Pinot Noirs—bright, pure and balanced. Deep color and exuberant aromas of red raspberries, dark cherries, ground clove, and vanilla emit from the glass. Soft and layered tannins are woven together with notes of fresh red plum and allspice. The extended growing season is evident on the palate as well, with a long finish that extends the depth of flavor.$49.9021 -

2023 Brewer-Clifton Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- This bottling is comprised of Pinot Noir from four vineyards within the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. 3D, Machado, Hapgood, and Perilune vineyards all contribute to the wine which exhibits a drive, richness and pedigree expressive of our special growing area coupled with the purity of fruit and firm structure which have been the trademark of Brewer-Clifton. 3D - The primary emphasis of the predominantly sandy 10 acre vineyard is chardonnay, with five clones planted. In addition to chardonnay, there is a smaller field of pinot noir planted to Swan, Pommard and 667 clones. MACHADO - 15 acre parcel on the Machado family land is located adjacent to Clos Pepe and immediately behind the Kessler-Haak vineyard. The site is marked by a gorgeous rolling terrain with sandy clay loam soils. HAPGOOD - In slightly richer soil, the vineyard is planted to the Mount Eden selection of chardonnay. The elevated clay loam content results in larger volume and a more dense palate expression. Our most recent installation, planted in 2010, is this small 2 1/2 acre section of pinot noir planted to Merry Edwards clone. CRAFT Only neutral barrels are employed. We strive for whole cluster fermentation. We farm with a focus of ripening the stems alongside the fruit, allowing the cluster to be in harmony. Working with the stems allows for wines that are structured, earthy and balanced with our beautiful Sta. Rita Hills fruit. CELLARING All of the wines are produced with the intention of aging and cellaring for at least 10 years and can easily be enjoyed after 15 years.$38.906 -
2022 Groth Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- The 2022 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant wine that presents a deep, purple-ruby hue. It offers an elegant bouquet on the nose, with layers, of toffee, blueberry pie, and raspberry compote, complemented by delicate vanilla bean, macerated cranberry, and shortcrust pastry. Herbal notes of bay leaf and tarragon add complexity, enhancing the wine’s refined character. On the palate, vibrant flavors of cherry reduction sauce, tart red plum, wild cherry, and fresh strawberry come to the forefront, while hints of dried herbs, tobacco leaf, and fresh pomegranate juice bring depth and intrigue. The wine finishes with fine, grippy tannins, offering structure and a lively, energetic experience.$59.908 -
Alfred Gratien Brut Rosé Champagne
Winery Notes- The colour is a deep pink with delicate hints of purple. Very fine sparkle with an attractive ring of bubbles on the surface of the wine. Initially intense on the nose. Ranging between fresh red fruit (especially cherry), pink grapefruit and mineral touches. The oak is subtle rather than obtrusive. This is a subtle nose that needs some swirling. On the palate the wine has a beautiful base of acidity. It is lively from the attack right through to the finish. This is balanced out by vinosity and viscosity. The red fruit and biscuit notes remain all the way into the finish. The finish is powerful, vinous and lingering, delicately saline and astringent.$54.905 -
2019 Domaine Eden Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- Our Domaine Eden Cabernet is unique in the California Cabernet world as it is a blend of five distinct vineyards in the middle of our large appellation. Based on the classic Bordeaux blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec, all the varieties are fermented individually on native yeasts and aged in oak separately until the final blending at fifteen months. Once the lots are blended together, the wine sees an additional seven months of barrel age. Balanced aromas of cassis and loamy earth frame the nose. Fresh, lively flavors of savory herb and blackberry engage the palate. The depth of flavor and length of finish complete the experience. Of course, this is enjoyable now, yet it will continue to be an incredible bottle for the next decade or more.Rating(s)$43.904
