2024 Belle Glos Clark & Telephone Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir (Was $50)
Winery Notes- Deep ruby red in color with lush aromas of ripe cherry, nutmeg, dark chocolate and holiday baking spices. Bold and complex flavors of black plum, crushed raspberry and blueberry pie linger on the palate. The texture is rich and lively, and leads into a warm and structured finish.$34.9016 -
2024 Sea Smoke Botella Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Botella is named after the mineral-rich soil type found on our Estate Vineyard and other exceptional vineyards of the Sta. Rita Hills. Botella’s grapes are sourced from neighboring vineyards of the Sea Smoke estate. Our Pinot Noir is shaped with a gentle hand, echoing the estate’s signature elegance while offering its own bright immediacy. Similar to the approach we take with our estate wines, winemaking features separate fermentations by block with gentle cap management. Botella features less time on the skins, earlier picks for bright aromatics, shorter barrel aging, and lower new French oak impact.$49.9020 -
2023 Capiaux Chimera Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- In the glass, dark red, purple hue with a transparent center. Floral aromas of hibiscus and graham crackers. Concentrated flavors of crushed rose petals, cranberry, cran-raisins, roasted strawberry. 2023 Chimera is fleshy, medium bodied, with balanced acid and tannins.Rating(s)$34.9016 -
2023 Dutton Goldfield Dutton Ranch Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe red cherry, wild raspberry and rose petal, balanced by subtle floral notes of violet. There’s also a delicate spice nuance, reminiscent of baking spices like cinnamon and clove, adding layers of intrigue. On the palate, this Pinot Noir is silky and graceful, with a medium-bodied structure that’s both elegant and expressive. Juicy flavors of cherry, berry, pomegranate, and tea leaf take center stage, accented by a soft, underlying acidity that provides freshness and lift. The finish is long and smooth, with refined tannins that impart a velvety mouthfeel and a lingering hint of spice and crushed rose petals. This Pinot Noir’s balance of fruit, earth, and spice makes it a perfect companion for dishes like roasted duck, grilled salmon, or a wild mushroom risotto.Rating(s)$39.907 -
2021 Etude Fiddlestix Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (Was $60)
Winery Notes- In the heart of Sta. Rita Hills, Fiddlestix Vineyard was deliberately planted for Pinot Noir and the alluring varietal remains not only the vineyard’s, but the appellation’s “forte”. Comprised of the finest blocks of the vintage, Etude Forté is a limited bottling that best exemplifies the characteristics of Fiddlestix Vineyard: dense concentration of fruit flavors, natural balance, and vibrant acidity.$39.9021 -
2023 Road 31 Napa Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Four plots across two vineyards contributed to this wine. From the Green Island, at the southern mouth of the Napa River, where the water spills into the San Pablo/San Francisco Bay, comes the prettiness of clone 115 and power of clone 667. Stanly Ranch, in Carneros just northwest across the Napa River from Green Island, provides clone 114 structure and robustness of clone 777. What a wine this 2021 Road 31 Napa Valley Pinot Noir is. Imagine Harry Potter, Gal Gadot, Elvis (the early days, not the donut-eating-sequin-wings years), and a 1962 Ferrari GTO all wrapped together in velour. Pull the cork and you may find yourself suddenly reciting Shakespearean sonnets from memory, understanding string theory, and feeling an inexplicable desire — and capability — to dance the tango like a blind Al Pacino. Yes, it is that good.$44.9024+ -
2023 OLG Our Lady of Guadalupe Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (Was $80)
Winery Notes- An endearing pour of a brooding crimson core with flashes of vermilion and neon pink as the glass swirls. Aromatics spill in double time with notes of muddled strawberry, “Pinot crunch”, cranberry, pomegranate, orange peel, and the coastal hills of lavender and sagebrush surrounding our vineyard. Without missing a beat, the palate flaunts rich and concentrated flavors of black cherry, ripe strawberry, fennel and a kiss of Maldon salt, kept in check by the layers of acid that dominate wines from the region. A multitude of sensations culminates with mild tannins and an energized finish that seems to perpetually exist.$64.9011 -
2022 Gary Farrell Russian River Selection Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Seductive aromas of Luxardo cherries intertwined with rose petals, fresh fennel, dark berry preserves, and a hint of savory earth. The youthful yet complex palate offers juicy flavors of sour cherries, blood orange, wild raspberries and with a dollop of tangy tamarind. Fine-grained tannins are balanced by firm acidity, creating a full-bodied texture, lending to an incredibly long, spicy finish.Rating(s)$40.908 -
2022 Paul Hobbs Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- A ruby-edged violet hue sets expectations for the tart red cherry and cranberry aromas that open in the glass, evolving into red plum and boysenberry steeped with orange peel, bergamot, and earl gray tea. Vibrant tension and a satisfying grip carry through the juicy palate with an intriguing hint of crunchy sea salt. A bright acidity adds freshness to the long, pure finish.$69.906 -
2023 Brewer-Clifton Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- This bottling is comprised of Pinot Noir from four vineyards within the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. 3D, Machado, Hapgood, and Perilune vineyards all contribute to the wine which exhibits a drive, richness and pedigree expressive of our special growing area coupled with the purity of fruit and firm structure which have been the trademark of Brewer-Clifton. 3D - The primary emphasis of the predominantly sandy 10 acre vineyard is chardonnay, with five clones planted. In addition to chardonnay, there is a smaller field of pinot noir planted to Swan, Pommard and 667 clones. MACHADO - 15 acre parcel on the Machado family land is located adjacent to Clos Pepe and immediately behind the Kessler-Haak vineyard. The site is marked by a gorgeous rolling terrain with sandy clay loam soils. HAPGOOD - In slightly richer soil, the vineyard is planted to the Mount Eden selection of chardonnay. The elevated clay loam content results in larger volume and a more dense palate expression. Our most recent installation, planted in 2010, is this small 2 1/2 acre section of pinot noir planted to Merry Edwards clone. CRAFT Only neutral barrels are employed. We strive for whole cluster fermentation. We farm with a focus of ripening the stems alongside the fruit, allowing the cluster to be in harmony. Working with the stems allows for wines that are structured, earthy and balanced with our beautiful Sta. Rita Hills fruit. CELLARING All of the wines are produced with the intention of aging and cellaring for at least 10 years and can easily be enjoyed after 15 years.$38.906 -
2022 Kistler Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Our approach to Pinot Noir is very similar to Chardonnay but we have two clones. For the last 25 years we’ve been working on selecting which of the two we preferred and we finally came to the conclusion that the answer was both. We’ve been planting our newer Pinot Noir Vineyards with a field mix of the two selections of late, giving deference to neither and laying the groundwork for our next generation of Pinot Noirs to be as transparent to site, and their relativity to each other, as are our Chardonnays. Both selections are marked by very low yields, small berries, great concentration and color in the fruit and a propensity to hold their natural acids during ripening.$79.905 -

2021 Hitching Post Highliner Sideways 20 Year Anniversary Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir
Rating:★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Winery Notes- We selected our flagship wine for this commemorative bottling. “Highliner” is an assemblage of only the best lots of all the different Pinot Noirs we make each vintage. Consequently, it earns consistent high praise. The fruit for 2021 Highliner came from 5 different vineyards with the majority sourced from the iconic Sanford & Benedict Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. All vineyards and clones are harvested and produced separately using traditional burgundian techniques. 20 months barrel age in French oak along with masterful blending, brought all the elements to a harmonious whole. "We enjoy making Highliner the most of any of our wines,” states Frank Ostini. “Utilizing the different flavors and textures from all of these vineyards creates a complex and balanced wine that plays to the many keys of Pinot Noir. The 2021 vintage is the best vintage of the 2000s to date.” The moniker “Highliner” refers to the best fishermen in the fleet and references Gray Hartley’s nearly 30 years in the fishing industry prior to winemaking. Highliner Pinot Noir is meant to be the “best of the fleet” of Hitching Post wines.Rating(s)$33.907 -
2022 Goldeneye Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- A quintessential Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, this wine is crafted to celebrate the region’s defined character, boasting aromas of penny royal, ripe cherry and subtle hints of chanterelle mushrooms. On the palate, it offers a beautifully balanced experience with smooth tannins and refreshing acidity alongside flavors of blackberry, leather and breakfast tea. A reflection of its depth and complexity, it slowly departs with a long, lingering finish.Rating(s)$44.904 -
2022 Sojourn Wohler Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- A warm 2022 summer brought one of the earliest harvests on record in the Sonoma Coast, with a September heat wave influencing some picking decisions. Cooler pockets of the Sonoma Coast fared well through the heat and the resulting wines offer depth and finesse. Yields were miniscule, with many vineyards breaking records on the low side for cluster weights. The resulting wines have concentrated flavors with tension and length. In 2022 we harvested Wohler Vineyard in multiple passes, fermenting each block separately. We also co-fermented small portions of the steepest ends of the clone 828 and 667 blocks. This lot formed the foundation of the 2022 blend. Clones 667 and 828 provided rich fruit and density while the Wädenswil 2A component added earthy notes and structure.Rating(s)$54.905 -
2023 Ojai Clima Frío Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- This 2023 Pinot Noir is the first of our new Clima Frío series, and we’re elated by what a dramatic and aromatic debut this is. This bottling cobbles together fruit grown in the Santa Maria Valley and just outside the Sta. Rita Hills. The wine is packed with earthy nuance while sporting lots of juicy, spicy fruit. It pulls you in with its wild aroma, which has pretty notes of dried rose, spice box, orange peel, and black tea. Then you’ll find it’s a just a joy to drink—juicy with ripe berries and cherry, refreshingly mineral, and there’s a fine spicy astringency that builds in the mid-palate onward. There’s lots of substance here, but it’s also a wine that’s very easy to enjoy a second glass.Rating(s)$39.9012 -
2020 Melville Terraces Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- A beautiful blue garnet in color, with aromas of spiced cranberry, orange zest and pomegranate dancing from the glass. Grippy tannins and defined acidity come together on the palate evoking flavors of plum compote, clove and herbal tea. Pure, bright and clean, Terraces finishes with the grace and elegance you have come to expect.$69.904
