Winery Notes- This Chardonnay is energetic and bright balancing mouthwatering acidity, fresh citrus, and an elegant, finely-woven texture with exceptional purity and precision. Meyer lemon and just-ripe mandarin orange mingle with pithy herbaceous notes and a fine mist of green citrus oil. On the palate, savory preserved lemon and a hint of spice component with the backbone of persistent acidity. 2023 Cep (Peay Vineyards) Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- The ideal expression of Pinot Noir to us is a wine that has body without heaviness and is full of flavor but graceful and elegant. The 2023 Cep Pinot Noir captures this essence and is just gorgeous. The aroma features bright fruits of raspberry, pomegranate, and cranberry with floral elements blowing through and a slightly brambly, anise quality giving ballast in the face of the high tones. It is full-flavored yet not rich, a quality I find very attractive and unique, especially at this price point. The acidity is mouth-watering though not aggressive. The tell-tale Peay Pinot Noir aromas of dried pine needle, jasmine tea, and earth linger in the aftertaste. This wine offers charm, complexity, and value. Cep is the second label of Peay Vineyards. The Pinot Noir is made from barrels that do not go into one of the Peay Pinot Noirs and, oftentimes, many of the barrels from a specific block found in a Peay wine are also in this cuvée. This style of Pinot Noir is simply not found in wines at this price point as it is made to be Peay and has impeccable balance, finesse, and site expressiveness. 2021 Roederer Estate Clark Road Vineyard Anderson Valley Brut Sparkling Wine
Winery Notes- Clark Road Vineyard is a handmade bottling. This vineyard is on the cool west side of Anderson Valley, where Pinot Noir thrives. We are intimately familiar with this site, which we have been farming since 1999. During those years, we have learned that we can leave the fruit on the vine longer than other sites, and as we allow it to ripen, it develops the juicy acidity so essential to top-quality sparkling wine. Clark Road was partially fermented in casks (7%) and with a small amount of reserve wine aged in casks (4.8%) to give the Roederer Estate family touch. It was disgorged in December 2024 after 30 months on the yeast.$44.9018 -

2023 Lucia by Pisoni Estate Cuvée Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- A vintage of patience paid off with this complex blend of entirely estate-farmed vineyards, as well as introducing a new planting. The 2023 Lucia by Pisoni Pinot Noir, Estate Cuvée is a blend of 41% Pisoni Vineyards, 32% Garys’ Vineyard, 15% Soberanes Vineyard and 12% WindRock Vineyard. Our most recent estate vineyard introduces another expression of intense farming and fruit expression, planted to the north of Garys’ Vineyard. The slow and late harvest brought a classic profile to the Pinot Noirs—bright, pure and balanced. Deep color and exuberant aromas of red raspberries, dark cherries, ground clove, and vanilla emit from the glass. Soft and layered tannins are woven together with notes of fresh red plum and allspice. The extended growing season is evident on the palate as well, with a long finish that extends the depth of flavor.$49.9021 -
2023 Brewer-Clifton Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- This bottling is comprised of Pinot Noir from four vineyards within the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. 3D, Machado, Hapgood, and Perilune vineyards all contribute to the wine which exhibits a drive, richness and pedigree expressive of our special growing area coupled with the purity of fruit and firm structure which have been the trademark of Brewer-Clifton. 3D - The primary emphasis of the predominantly sandy 10 acre vineyard is chardonnay, with five clones planted. In addition to chardonnay, there is a smaller field of pinot noir planted to Swan, Pommard and 667 clones. MACHADO - 15 acre parcel on the Machado family land is located adjacent to Clos Pepe and immediately behind the Kessler-Haak vineyard. The site is marked by a gorgeous rolling terrain with sandy clay loam soils. HAPGOOD - In slightly richer soil, the vineyard is planted to the Mount Eden selection of chardonnay. The elevated clay loam content results in larger volume and a more dense palate expression. Our most recent installation, planted in 2010, is this small 2 1/2 acre section of pinot noir planted to Merry Edwards clone. CRAFT Only neutral barrels are employed. We strive for whole cluster fermentation. We farm with a focus of ripening the stems alongside the fruit, allowing the cluster to be in harmony. Working with the stems allows for wines that are structured, earthy and balanced with our beautiful Sta. Rita Hills fruit. CELLARING All of the wines are produced with the intention of aging and cellaring for at least 10 years and can easily be enjoyed after 15 years.$38.906 -
2023 Failla Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- The Vineyards represented in this bottling are a stellar depiction of quality farming, mature vines, and the distinct terroir of cool climates that are graced with the soils, fog, and ocean influence that bring Pinot Noir to life. Roughly 25% of the grapes used in this bottling are estate grown and farmed. The Pinot Noir is pressed 30% whole cluster, with native yeast fermentation. It is aged for 8 months in 15% new French oak, and 85% neutral. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered. Aromatically the wine has a floral perfume, with notes of bright red fruits and hints of wild herbs. On the palate, the wine has juicy pomegranate seeds along with a structure of finesse and elegance.$34.907 -
2021 Hitching Post Highliner Sideways 20 Year Anniversary Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- We selected our flagship wine for this commemorative bottling. “Highliner” is an assemblage of only the best lots of all the different Pinot Noirs we make each vintage. Consequently, it earns consistent high praise. The fruit for 2021 Highliner came from 5 different vineyards with the majority sourced from the iconic Sanford & Benedict Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. All vineyards and clones are harvested and produced separately using traditional burgundian techniques. 20 months barrel age in French oak along with masterful blending, brought all the elements to a harmonious whole. "We enjoy making Highliner the most of any of our wines,” states Frank Ostini. “Utilizing the different flavors and textures from all of these vineyards creates a complex and balanced wine that plays to the many keys of Pinot Noir. The 2021 vintage is the best vintage of the 2000s to date.” The moniker “Highliner” refers to the best fishermen in the fleet and references Gray Hartley’s nearly 30 years in the fishing industry prior to winemaking. Highliner Pinot Noir is meant to be the “best of the fleet” of Hitching Post wines.$33.907 -

2023 Ojai Clima Frío Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- This 2023 Pinot Noir is the first of our new Clima Frío series, and we’re elated by what a dramatic and aromatic debut this is. This bottling cobbles together fruit grown in the Santa Maria Valley and just outside the Sta. Rita Hills. The wine is packed with earthy nuance while sporting lots of juicy, spicy fruit. It pulls you in with its wild aroma, which has pretty notes of dried rose, spice box, orange peel, and black tea. Then you’ll find it’s a just a joy to drink—juicy with ripe berries and cherry, refreshingly mineral, and there’s a fine spicy astringency that builds in the mid-palate onward. There’s lots of substance here, but it’s also a wine that’s very easy to enjoy a second glass.$39.9012
