2022 Aperture Soil Specific Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend
Winery Notes- All of our fruit is hand harvested and brought into the winery within hours of being picked. Everything is methodically and obsessively sorted. A cold soak of 4-7 days with minimal air incorporation starts the extraction and then cool fermentations with native yeast carry out the remaining. Air and temperature are controlled throughout the 14-28 day fermentation and extended maceration is determined lot by lot when I walk the fine line of full extraction but still keep an elegant and silky texture. Wines go through malolactic fermentation in barrel and are aged (sur-lees) for 18 months. For this vintage, we crafted a distinct Bordeaux blend, composed of primarily Merlot and Malbec, with a delicately balancing of smallerinclusion of cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, and cabernet franc. The ripe red fruit characters are structured by silky seamless tannins, showcasing an elegant density to the blend.$49.903 -

Winery Notes- Our 2022 Tapestry Reserve presents a bold and expressive Bordeaux-style red blend, marked by its deep, intense character and elevated structure. Layers of dark fruit—blackberry, plum, and cassis—form the core of the palate, framed by heady aromatics and a generous use of new oak that imparts subtle notes of warm baking spices, toast, and a touch of nuttiness. The inclusion of more Malbec and Petit Verdot in this vintage adds both color intensity and a structural backbone, enhancing the wine’s age-worthiness while lending a more serious, focused profile. There's a distinct lift of acidity that keeps the wine vibrant and food-friendly, balancing the rich fruit and powerful tannins. 2019 Inglenook Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- Stunningly deep ruby in color, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with heady aromas of brambly black cherry, vanilla, warm brioche, and crème de cassis. As the wine warms on the palate, notes of red cherry, graphite and fennel emerge, as very polished, refined tannins carry the wine into a long, fragrant finish. Winery Notes- From a selection of three distinctly different iconic single-vineyard terroirs within the sub-AVAs of St. Helena, Oak Knoll, and Atlas Peak. Under the guidance of two Napa Valley legends, Vineyard Manager, Jim Barbour, and Winemaker, Thomas Rivers Brown, this fruit is hand-picked, hand-sorted, and then whole berry fermented in micro-fermentation batches. 2021 Penfolds Bin 704 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Was $70)
Winery Notes- On the palate, this wine presents fennel/anise and black liquorice flavours that pave the way for fine yet powerful mouthcoating tannins. The weighty structure carries savoury nuances (artisanal charcuterie paired with tangy barberries) adding layers of complexity. Cherry nuances – both cherry pip tartness and white cherry subtle sweetness – play off each other elegantly. 2023 Quilt Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Was $40)
Winery Notes- For Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon, the winemaking process started by picking fruit at precisely the right moment. Often this meant waiting until ripeness--determined both by testing sugar levels as well as by assessing other aspects of phenological readiness--had reached an ideal point. Once in the cellar, we kept lots separated by vineyard. While the wine underwent extended maceration, we re-evaluated the progress of each lot before moving the wine to small French oak barrels (70% new oak, 30% seasoned) where it underwent a secondary fermentation. 2021 Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Was $60)
Winery Notes- Our 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet is our interpretation of a quintessentially classic style. The color is deep garnet and the nose yields aromas of dark chocolate, pomegranate, cedar shavings, blackberry, and leather. The palate exhibits flavors of blueberry compote, black cherry, espresso, and cigar box with bright and juicy fruit forward sensations. The texture is rich and bold with well-structured tannins that make it approachable now and will yield great results in the cellar for decades.$49.9014 -
2021 Keenan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is composed primarily of grapes grown on Keenan’s Spring Mountain District Estate; the remainder of the fruit was harvested from Pope Valley, a grape growing region located in the eastern portion of Napa. Keenan’s Estate Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were harvested beginning on September 7th with the final lot being picked on September 15th. After harvest, the fruit clusters were de-stemmed, then fermented for ten to fourteen days. The wine was barrel aged in thirty-three percent new French and American oak for twenty months. The blend was assembled just before bottling. The Estate grown Cabernet imparts amazing concentration and remarkable structure, while the portion of Cabernet harvested from Pope Valley adds complex aromas and a balanced mid-palate. -
2021 Chateau Montelena Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- The density and richness of this wine are teased right from the start. Pomegranate, plum and dried blackberry lead a lavish charge of ripe, dark fruit. In the midst, there’s a hint of barrel toast, first as charcoal and then as fresh wood. The aromas remain elevated, with potpourri and black pepper initially, and then concluding with fig jam and cherry tobacco. This Cabernet has all of the markers of a great Montelena wine. The palate is bursting with a dynamic and seemingly haphazard array of fruit, acid and tannin, all tied together with fresh mint and graphite. Rest assured, all of these elements will settle into place over time. There’s a beautiful, almost velvety, softness from the Merlot that rounds off most of the coarse edges and lends refinement. Best of all, this wine is approachable now but will build complexity with time in glass. The baking spices really come into focus here along with notes of earth and toasted almond. The tannins are chalky, rather than angular, and roasted hazelnut complements the fresh raspberry and black tea. This is truly an elegant, restrained, food-friendly wine.$74.9011 -
2018 Hestan Meyer Vineyard Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (Was $85)
Winery Notes- In the glass the wine displays a nearly opaque purple-ruby hue. On the nose, there are aromas of black currant, blackberry cassis anise, sweet and sour plum with a hint of black and red licorice. The palate opens with ripe plum, graham and brown sugar with blackberries and white pepper notes. The wine is balanced with soft tannins and a med long finish. Age for 7-12 years.$54.902
