2022 K Vintners Motor City Kitty - Boushey Vineyard Yakima Valley Syrah
Winery Notes- 2022 was a unique year for wine grapes in Washington State. A slow start due to a late spring eventually balanced out into an even and warm summer, ultimately leading to one of the longest falls we have ever experienced. Our vineyards, which produce great grapes year in and year out, harvested fruit that lent itself to extremely special wines this year. Wines that are firm, bright, and beautiful, with lovely aromas. 2022 Emmolo (Caymus) Napa Valley Merlot (Elsewhere $55)
Jenny Wagner, the youngest offspring of Chuck Wagner, renowned for Caymus wines, serves as the winemaker at Emmolo Winery, a namesake tribute to her mother, Cheryl Emmolo. The Emmolo family boasts a rich legacy deeply rooted in Napa Valley. In 1923, great-grandfather Salvatore Emmolo initiated a grape rootstock nursery, a tradition continued by his son Frank. Under Frank's stewardship, the family property saw the cultivation of Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, marking a significant chapter in the Emmolo family's enduring connection with the Napa Valley. Nose: Cocktail cherries and sweet spice, with notes of savory bread, newly oiled leather and pronounced French oak. Palate: Smooth upon entry, with a richness that builds. Flavors of cherry, spice and savory bread carry over from the nose, with lush plums and a hint of jerky. Dusty, powdery tannins lend softness. Winery Notes- Our aim with our Sa Our aim with our Santa Barbara County Syrah is to capture a precociously drinkable expression of the region’s cool-climate vineyards. This wine is just that. The 2022 vintage gave us a hot September, so there’s a deep and ample ripeness to this bottling. Still, our coastal vineyards held onto their earthy and savory Syrah qualities. The varietal fragrance is striking and pungent. There’s a complex profile of incense, suede leather, balsamic, and spicy root beer botanicals, while a deep layer of mocha and plum promises rich pleasure for the mouth. It for the mouth. It works out that way, too. The palate is suave and easy, with front-loaded dark fruits that glide into peppery game and chocolate$34.9010 -

Winery Notes- Rock Angel has a more complex and structured taste profile than Whispering Angel bringing it into a more premium realm, giving rosé lovers a bigger and richer wine. If you like the minerality of a Sancerre, you will love this wine. Delicate red berry aromas with mineral notes, along with floral hints and a subtle spice. Rock Angel is rich and racy on the palate. The use of partial oak aging adds a creamy feel and texture to this wine, and the flinty minerality embues it with another layer of complexity. Powerful and elegant.
