2021 Castello di Romitorio Brunello di Montalcino
Winery Notes- The Castello Romitorio Brunello di Montalcino is our flagship wine and reflects more than 30 years of working in harmony with nature in Montalcino. The estate has new and old vineyards of Sangiovese at high altitudes in the northwest of Montalcino. The Sangiovese grapes are carefully selected before and after destemming. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with an initial short period of cold maceration followed by maceration at a higher controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation is naturally caused, so the wine is rested to separate the lees. The wine matures in oak for a minimum of 24 months, and, after bottling, it is aged in Castello Romitorio’s temperature controlled cellars for a minimum of 4 months before release.$69.9024 -
2024 Occidental Freestone-Occidental Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- The 2024 Freestone-Occidental wine shares the same winemaking techniques as our vineyard designated pinot noirs. Crystalline, bright, mouthwatering, and a bit salty with a saline mineral finish, the 2024 Freestone-Occidental evokes juicy red berries and a near perfect balance of finesse and energy – of bright, primary red fruits and saline elements. It conveys outstanding precision and lift in the mouth and finishes vibrant and long with beautifully sculpted tannins. Its modest alcohol (13%) makes this wine a perfect complement to any meal. It is delicious now and will develop nicely in bottle.Rating(s)$74.9020 -

2023 OLG Our Lady of Guadalupe Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (Was $80)
Winery Notes- An endearing pour of a brooding crimson core with flashes of vermilion and neon pink as the glass swirls. Aromatics spill in double time with notes of muddled strawberry, “Pinot crunch”, cranberry, pomegranate, orange peel, and the coastal hills of lavender and sagebrush surrounding our vineyard. Without missing a beat, the palate flaunts rich and concentrated flavors of black cherry, ripe strawberry, fennel and a kiss of Maldon salt, kept in check by the layers of acid that dominate wines from the region. A multitude of sensations culminates with mild tannins and an energized finish that seems to perpetually exist.$64.9011 -
2020 Produttori del Barbaresco Ovello Barbaresco Riserva
Winery Notes- The first part of spring was relatively dry and sunny, ensuring a homogeneous resumption of plant growth, with bud breaking starting at the beginning of March. A couple of rainy days in April and more so in May when the climate was unstable climate and continued until late June. On the one hand, the advantage built up at the beginning of spring was worn out by the slowing down in plant growth, while on the other hand, the accumulation of water in the soil, combined with not overly high temperatures during the summer, prevented water stress issues. As far as production volume is concerned, green harvest was necessary in the summer to balance a relatively abundant crop. The “heat wave” came in August with two weeks of day temperature above 90°F. Some rain at the end of the month helped to cool down the climate helping a more balance ripening of the grapes. First three weeks of September were mild with little temperature excursion between night and day, last week brought cooler nights and helped a better aromatic concentration. Nebbiolo proved to be in excellent condition when it was ready for picking at the very beginning of October. Growth was constant, rather than exponential, with nice balance of aromas and tannins. The early start of the season and the good water supply through the summer kept a good acidity level while also allowing excellent sugar accumulation. In conclusion, also considering grape ripening control data, the 2020 vintage in Barbaresco can be said to be extremely good with points of excellence, not as full bodied as some of the vintages before, but complete and complex enough to produce medium-long ageing potential wines.$79.904 -

2019 Voliero Brunello di Montalcino
In 2006, Andrea Cortonesi put a lot of miles on his car. Already the founder, proprietor, vigneron and winemaker for the Uccelliera estate, he was also running his own restaurant in Siena called Il Casato. It was in his capacity as restaurateur that the Voliero label was born: in researching all of the best possible local products for the menu, a friend of his in Montalcino offered him grapes from his vineyard in the Canalicchio cru in northern Montalcino to make a wine just for the restaurant. There was never enough Uccelliera wines to go around, so he accepted the idea to produce a second label.$64.9012 -
